- Learning Materials: Content of PDF documents, notes, and study guides you upload for AI processing.
- Marketplace Transactions: Records of purchases, sales, and withdrawals of marketplace credits.
- Interactions: Chat history with the AI Instructor and session performance metrics.
2. How Your Data is Used
Your data is primarily used to power the Lumina AI engine. We do not sell your personal data. We use collected information to:
- Generate personalized study plans, quizzes, and summaries.
- Maintain the integrity of the Lumina Marketplace economy.
- Enable peer-to-peer sharing of study materials while protecting creator rights.
- Improve our AI models specifically for educational accuracy.
3. Marketplace & Financial Privacy
Financial transactions (credit purchases) are handled by verified third-party processors like Paystack. Lumina does not store your full credit card details. We maintain internal ledgers for Marketplace Credits to ensure sellers are accurately compensated for their contributions.
4. AI Processing Transparency
When you upload a document or start a live session, your content is processed by advanced AI models (including Gemini 2.0). This processing is temporary and focused on extracting educational value. Your private study materials are NOT used to train public AI models without your explicit consent or marketplace listing.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You maintain full control over your data. Deleting your account will initiate a permanent wipe of all your personal records, uploaded materials, and learning progress from our active systems. Records of financial transactions may be retained for legally required periods.
